Streak Detection in Baccarat

Streaks are one of the most visible and psychologically powerful phenomena in baccarat. Understanding how to detect them, when to follow them, and when to fade them can help you make more disciplined decisions at the table.

What is a Streak?

A streak in baccarat is when the same side wins multiple times in a row. A 3-hand Banker streak means Banker won 3 consecutive hands. Streaks of 5, 8, or even 10+ in a row are not uncommon in an 80-hand shoe.

Following vs Fading Streaks

Following a streak means betting on the same side that's been winning โ€” expecting it to continue. Streak followers believe that biased shoes produce extended runs.

Fading a streak means betting against it โ€” expecting it to end. Faders believe long streaks are overextended and due to reverse.

Neither approach is mathematically superior โ€” each hand is independent.

The Psychology of Streaks

Streaks are psychologically dangerous because they create an illusion of momentum. Players who are 'due' to win after a losing streak, or feel a streak 'must continue', are falling for the gambler's fallacy. Baccarat has no memory.

Streak Alarms

BaccaratEdge automatically detects streaks and alerts you when a streak of 4 or more occurs. The alarm appears as a pulsing notification โ€” useful as a reminder to pause and evaluate your strategy rather than continuing on autopilot.

Using Streaks with C2Bet4

In C2Bet4 mode, streaks are indirectly accounted for through the trigger pairs. A PP trigger in a Banker streak will produce a sequence that bets against the streak for hands 3-4. This built-in counter-streak mechanism is one reason C2Bet4 is popular in streaky shoes.
